WARRANTY

Dark Bolt Design warrants that knives will be free from defects in material and workmanship for up to two years from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies to the original owner, and any subsequent owners. If a product is found to be defective, Dark Bolt Design will, at its sole discretion, either repair or replace the item at no charge.

If Dark Bolt Design chooses to replace the knife, it may be replaced with the same model or one of equal value if the original item is no longer available or in production.

Dark Bolt Design does not cover repairs if a knife was misused (throwing, prying, etc.), abused, accidentally or intentionally damaged. Broken tips are usually the result of improper use such as prying or other abuse and are usually not covered under warranty.

If a knife fails to function as it was designed to be used, please contact Dark Bolt Design (see the information below).

If it is determined that a returned knife's problem is not the result of a defect in materials or manufacturing, it will not be accepted for warranty work and you may choose to have the knife returned to you at your expense or explore options to have the knife fixed outside of warranty coverage.

Damage caused by throwing, prying or dropping, chipped edge, improper sharpening, rust due to neglect, or other improper treatment will not be covered under this warranty.

Repairs to your knife performed by any source other than Dark Bolt Design unconditionally voids the knife's warranty. Disassembling your knife to perform routine maintenance will not void the warranty, however, any damage that results from disassembly might not be covered if it is deemed to have resulted from the user, rather than a defect in materials or workmanship.

Modifying the knife from its original form or assembly in any way will void the warranty. While the blades are designed to be interchangeable, slight variations in machining tolerances might prevent swapped blades from having a perfect fit, resulting in blade play, detent, centering, and lock up issues. We can NOT guarantee the success of any blade swaps and can only provide warranty services on knives in their original configuration. For best results, please follow the instructions on the video found
here.

This warranty does not apply to lost or consumable parts such as screws, washers, or hardware (including the BoltLock™ button), unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship. Please note - the BoltLock™ button comes from the manufacturer with threadlock applied. If you remove the button, you must reapply medium strength (blue) threadlock to prevent it from potentially loosening and falling out. If you are missing any hardware, please contact Dark Bolt Design for replacements.
